Gold Coast-Tallebudgera Tourist Park
Well, our family and another stayed at Tallebudgera Tourist Park for the Easter Weekend. And we won't go back.
AMENITIES - are just in a dirty state all day. I know to expect sand etc when near the beach, but i've visited many parks and NONE have been to the horrid conditions of what we had to use. It never smells clean and just looks like a 2 second job has been spent on the place.
10pm CURFEW - After two nights in a row(playing cards, NO MUSIC AND NO TV OR ANYTHING) being SHHHHHED, by security guards,,, i was fuming. I headed to reception to enquire about the amenities and the ridiculous curfew. Only to be told 'the amenities get cleaned 3 times a day' and the security guards are hired outside of the company, so they really can't control what goes on. And did agree with me that being asked to be quiet when playing cards was extreme. She said the partying, loud music etc is what they needed controlled. ' I said, well i have 3 kids, one is a 4 month old, so you can be sure we arn't partying on till the wee hours with loud music'. I then let them know that if i am SHHHHED again by the security guard, i will be letting the security know that i have spoken to the office. I have paid good money to have a holiday,, not to enlist in the holiday boot camp.
Also the park uses a 'keypad' system to get into toliets/showers and boom gates. The gates part was fine,, ,, but trying to remember the code and every amentities block has a different code too was a bother at first. Harder for kids as they tend to leave 'visiting nature' to the last second and being delayed to run back and get the code just made it a little worse!
Other than that it is close to the Tallebudgera Creek for the kids to swim and was nice. Boat ramp was close by and handy for those who boat/jetski etc.
Kids don't play with others,, everyone keeps to themselves.
Was an experience that we are glad we have seen, as we will not be going back. We were supposed to be going to Rainbow Beach, but due to work commitments we just couldn't get the time in like we wanted, so we chose a place closer.
Hope it gives the info that people may want to know about a place before they part with their hard earned bucks!!
