Augusta / MR area - Canebrake Pool

Post by mgglasby on Thu Jan 13, 2011 8:33 pm

GPS Ref: 33° 52' 54" S 115° 16' 50" E

Phone for information: 08 9757 2911

Time Limit: Unknown

Warnings: No big rigs or caravans.

Restrictions: No dogs.

Location details:

South west of Busselton or north east of Margaret River. Located in forest setting. Access is easier from Margaret River No camping during burn off, look for signs. Osmington and Canebrake Road. Not really for big rigs as pull in sites are too small. The pool is beautiful and is an excellent place to swim. Canebrake Road is unsealed.

Great spot although I am pretty sure it is dogs on leads not no dogs.

If you cross the river (east) and head south along the track it will take you all the way to Mowen Road. It is a nice drive and if wet (winter) has quite a long shallow water crossing at the Mowen Road end. There are a fair few trees down along this trac and it would be very tight getting a camper trailer through the chicken tracks.
